Our client is looking for a Cloud Engineer/SRE to support and enhance its global infrastructure. You’ll play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining the systems that underpin a highly available platform used by a wide and active user base.
This role sits at the intersection of infrastructure, platform development, and database operations. You’ll work with modern tools such as Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, and cloud providers including AWS and GCP, helping to ensure stability, performance, and scalability across the environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
Manage and maintain PostgreSQL databases in cloud-native environments (including in-cluster deployments)
Operate and improve infrastructure running on Kubernetes, including custom tooling
Support the development of internal services (some written in Go – experience helpful but not essential)
Build and maintain cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP
Join the on-call rotation to help maintain platform reliability
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to resolve issues and improve system performance
Contribute to infrastructure automation and tooling initiatives
What They’re Looking For
3+ years of experience managing PostgreSQL in production settings
Strong experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS or GCP); familiarity with Azure is a bonus
Solid understanding of Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code practices
Comfortable writing code in a strongly typed language (e.g., Go, Rust, Java, C++)
Strong problem-solving abilities and a structured, systems-thinking approach
Clear communication skills and experience working in distributed/remote teams
Nice to Have
Experience with Go, or an interest in learning it
Background in platform engineering or developer tooling
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and observability tools
A degree in Computer Science or similar field (or equivalent practical experience)
This is a great opportunity to work on a well-established platform while helping evolve the infrastructure for future growth. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that values clean architecture, stability, and strong engineering principles.
