Remote within Europe
We’re helping a new client in the online gaming industry that’s about to kick off a complete rebuild of their internal Back-Office platform—and they’re doing it in Elixir.
This is a fresh start, moving away from a Retool-based system and building something custom, scalable, and tailored to their needs.
They’re now looking for a Full-Stack Elixir Engineer to join their small but mighty Internal Tools team. You’ll be working closely with a hands-on CTO (who’s a big fan of Erlang/Elixir) and two experienced engineers to bring this new system to life.
What you’ll be doing
Build from scratch – Design and develop a new internal platform using Elixir and Phoenix LiveView
Collaborate closely – Work with the internal tools team, product folks, and CTO to shape how the system works
Connect the dots – Build solid integrations with their existing Go-based services and APIs
Set the standard – Help define how Elixir gets used across the team, and establish best practices for future projects
Support your teammates – Share what you know, especially around Elixir, and help others get up to speed
What they’re looking for
Ideally someone who enjoys building tools that actually get used—and who’s excited about shaping the way a new language is adopted within the team.
You’ll need to have:
Hands-on experience with Elixir and Phoenix
Familiarity with Go preferred (but not essential)
Solid experience with PostgreSQL
Comfortable with event-driven systems (Kafka, Pulsar, etc.)
Experience working with CI/CD and instrumentation
Confident using modern frontend tools (JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS, Svelte or similar)
Strong communication skills and happy working remotely
A collaborative mindset and willingness to take ownership of your work
This is a great chance to get in early on a greenfield Elixir project, shape how things are built, and help steer the tech direction in a supportive and forward-thinking team. Apply
This looks like a dream position, starting from scratch, beeing involved in design from the beginning has always been a dream.
